Metal point is an artists tool and a technique, descending from the ancient stylus and ancestor of the modern pencil, small, sharpened metal rods of 24k Gold, Pure Silver, Platinum, Bronze, and Copper are used to create images with singular beauty.
Compositions are drawn upon specially prepared supports like aluminum or wood and then a ground is applied to them that is pigmented with natural minerals like: Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, Cobalt and various metal oxides.
Casting a point source of light across the line-work will reveal the precious metals true color and sheen.
