I am a landscape architect with a natural passion for plants. The creation of gardens is always an imitation of nature to a certain extent. The selection and use of plant species according to the requirements of a specific position is a prerequisite for an easily functioning garden. An important part of my work is therefore the observation of natural communities, how plants function as a whole system. Thanks to painting, I know these communities
to observe even more carefully and become more deeply aware of the relationships that take place here. It is fascinating to me how the complex system of the meadow as an ecological community can act so simply and exude lightness.
With the paintings in this series, my goal was to capture this feeling. The feeling when I breathe in a summer mountain meadow, a wet meadow and the edge of a forest or a dry meadow at the end of October, where the dry flowers of the grasses have taken over.
