Coastal abstract artist based on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Katie Thomas creates atmospheric works inspired by the land, sea and memory. Working intuitively with layered surfaces, scraping back and reworking, her paintings explore erosion, time and emotional connection to place. Her work invites viewers to slow down, feel and experience landscape as atmosphere rather than depiction.
