Dino Maccini

Dino Maccini is an artist that proposes a craft of great expressiveness. With the inspiration and the skill of the ancient mosaic masters, he joins marble, glass and glaze tesserae in sophisticated and modern shapes. The innate passion for the art, and particularly for the mosaics, took him to Ravenna, where he learned this ancient technique. Then, deepened study of mosaic art pushes him to a continuous improvement of his own manufactures, unique in its type. In his laboratory-refuge, he works on mosaics with a devotion and a passion of ancient times, planning and realizing innovative and unpublished works, of great impact. But Dino Maccini’s creativity never stops: experimentation impassions him, so that, close to marble tesserae and glass paste, wood splinters and metal inserts appear in his works, mixed and improved by vanished and progressive tones of colour that create precious and refined pieces of art. The activity of Dino Maccini range over the creation of contemporary, religious, ancient roman and byzantine  mosaics and pieces for interior decoration and design.
