Michele Goldberg

I am fascinated by the intersection of art and science and I am compelled to create the imagery that memorializes the impact of ‘The Age of Information’ on our society.
To achieve this, I combine images of circuit boards, binary code and app. icons with monoprint techniques that utilize metallic mylar film in successive layers that mimic the glow of computer screens. Some of my compositions are interactive adding a three-dimensional element.
What nucleic acids are to DNA, binary code is to the big data that characterizes each of us. Our informational 'profile' is as defining as our genetic code. I hope to engage the viewer, to foster curiosity and generate thought.
