Michel Gayout

After a career as an illustrator, my installation in the countryside, at the gates of the Dordogne, brings me to sculpture and photography.

I wish that each of my works tells a story that crosses its spectator and transmits an energy and a mystery that it has itself drawn from music and dance, poetry and cinema.

My sculptures and my images are aimed at an emancipated public and all spiritualities. I want them to be the medium of infinite and changing dreams. I like to seek a harmony, a balance, in the real, mental and intimate space of my workshop, creating a playful chaos inspired by the vigor of nature, its anarchic and convulsive profusion by listening to the schizophrenic desiring who is in me.
