Ella Thrupp

Ella Thrupp is an artist. She’s a dichotomy of opposites. She will constantly surprise you, she will constantly change course. Her mind is too full with all the things she wants to create; which is bad for marketing because her style swerves, often. Hopefully you’re not her marketing manager. Fingers crossed for you.

The strange, dark, old places of the earth - the ancient power, the sacred, the occult, the mythical stories of the creation of the world - they all interest her. She’s caught by glimpses of movement, and tries to capture them in return. She loves a harmonious colour palette.

Ella works primarily with acrylics and oils on wood panel, because the wood takes pressure better than canvas when it all comes out too quick in a moment of emotion.
