I take joy in idealising figures, using the Golden Ratio and the grid method. Using vibrant, non-natural colours, I explore the idea of Utopia, an invented world of leisure and pleasure, populated by nude figures at rest. I have also come to love imagining Dystopia through frightening images of disaster and loss of individualism. By showing these two bodies of work together, I play these opposite worlds against each other, contrasting zones that we strive for with those that we do not want to know.
