I grew up in a beautiful city in west of Turkiye, Izmir. I moved to the USA in 2007. Starting early ages I always drew and painted but never had formal collage art education.
I chose a science career following my father’s steps but I had a work accident in the USA in 2019. I lost my career and had many heath issues as the head trauma caused some brain lesions. That was the time I picked up my pencils and started drawing again. First just to stay away from my headaches as I believe the healing affects of art accompanied by music.
Since Covid 19 started, I had more time watching the artists online and it was the time I discovered Emanuel Descanio and Jono Dry. This was the time I decided that I want to become a professional artist and connect people through my art, once my purpose was to help people with science and now equally I believe for so many art creates a safe space and also healing. Each day is a new discovery through art. As this is no one can take away from me no matter what happens.
