Sovina Vernon-White

I am passionate self taught artist. Due to well meaning guidance of the influences around me I pursued a career in property. However, like many of the early artists, such as Henri Rousseau and Vincent Van Gough my style and skill came from my raw relationship with my paintbrush.

Most of my inspiration comes from current affairs and historical events.

I enjoy painting with oil on canvas and am excited by large canvases that allow me to approach them with only an idea in my mind and the excitement of what each of my brush strokes will produce, but mostly the impact and the priceless reaction of the beholder.

The so called sensible education route i took was to become a chartered surveyor.

I have exhibited at Public Sapient. Turnmill St, London, in 2020, (A family company of Saatchi), Boomer Gallery, Tower Bridge2021 and Green Stone Gallery, Fulham Road, London in 2022.
