Born in 1972. Lives and works in Kfar Saba, Israel.
Lived and worked in Barbados between the years 1998-2015.

In my work I paint portraits of famous as well as anonymous figures. Using acrylic paints, I translate photographs into my artistic world, a world that is influenced by Aztec art in which lies a graphic language of repetition, a language with its own rhythm which creates harmony and vividness. The inspiration for the shapes and colors is taken from ancient cultures that are highly influenced by psychedelic visions.
The color palette I use adapts itself to complement the figure’s energy.
I divide each painting into a geometrical design that merges with the natural flow of the subject. Inside each shape I design a pattern that I feel is right for it, and by that I create an entirely new portrait.
The original idea of dividing the painting into shapes and pixels was taken from the paintings of the hyperrealist painter, Chuck Close. The technique forces diligent observation and a true attention to the smallest details while creating a world that is new, alternative, deep and meditative.
