Lianne De Vor

I am a Dutch painter from Waalwijk. My work focuses on the theme of the body in motion.

In my work I want to express the power of the body in motion. To create these images, I am inspired by dance. With my expressive colors and lines, I look for the connection with what I feel and what I want to create on the canvas. I challenge the viewer to look beyond what is apparent at first glance.
For me, moving freely means working with a loose brush stroke, which often produces a somewhat abstract representation. The energy and the powerful colors and lines create the dynamics of my dance on the canvas.

I like to take the dance outside, in nature. The earthly connection and the power of color and line in both worlds form a beautiful combination. I want to deepen this further by experimenting with other materials and techniques, which strengthens the relationship to each other and the influence on each other.
