Gina Gherardi

I love exploring the way colour creates moods and atmospheres, and in my latest body of silk fragment collages I try to evoke feelings of joy, humour, calm and thoughtfulness.
I particularly enjoy working in fine detail on a smaller scale.

I graduated as a mature student with a fine art textile degree from Norwich Art School and started making sculptural textile jewellery.

In the early 2000’s I was an associate member of Society of Designer Craftsmen which enabled me to exhibit in mixed shows in London - the Mall Galleries, and Chelsea Crafts.
I have exhibited in mixed show round the UK, and have sold work in various museum shops/galleries.
Participated in Open Studios in Cambridge for many years.
I now work in a completely different field using my love of colour in a more random but totally considered way
