Gigi Campanile

Born in Tricase, Gigi began his career as a photographer at a very young age, he moved to Rome and worked for the most important agencies in the sector until the end of the 90s. He then moved to the USA: first to New York and then to Los Angeles and built a name and a career by working for the most important international magazines in the world. In 1997 he founded the magazine “La Dolce Vita”, a bilingual monthly that promotes Italian culture in Los Angeles. Since 1998 he has been the founder and executive director of the first Italian Film Festival in Los Angeles "LAIFA - Los Angeles Italian Film Awards". In 2004 he starts and directs the Salento International Film Festival, based in Salento, and works as a film producer and distributor as well as an organizer of international film events around the world
