Emergent artist from a scientific zygote. A previously successful writer (author of six non-fiction books). I find artistic beauty in small things but also take joy in the meaningfulness of the bigger picture. I forage. I beach-comb. I repurpose. I like the quirky and unpredictable mysteries of making found art from nature’s sculptural gifts. I also feel the urge to punk it up. It’s all beautifully complex. Being an ecologist, I know a good niche when I see one. Being a geologist, I can tell you a story in stone. Being a beachologist I scour the sands to remove the sea-spat plastics of a vengeful ocean and create objects of redemptive beauty. I fuse them to write a new story for our blue planet, our generation and for our ancestors to come. Buy one and save a whale, possibly.
