In my paintings I seek to explore and express what I find beautiful and interesting. I capture the imagery and moments - sometimes small and commonplace - that resonate.I paint close views as well as landscapes, and simplify and distill the composition of my paintings.
Having lived in New York City, Vermont and Long Island, each place has affected and
inspired my paintings. I choose the media - oil, pastel, watercolor, drawing materials -
that best suit my subjects.
Received B.F.A from Carnegie-Mellon University, and an M.A. from New York University.
