Marie Hué

Marie, 33 years old, from an atypical life path, driven by numerous travels, various professional experiences, has always and from a very young age, been lulled by a form of artistic expression, as if to free herself from a dense internal agitation. From dance to music, it was almost impossible to fall into painting.
She started with figurative work, women, many from the age of 15. “For as long as I can remember, I was fascinated (and I still am) by women's bodies, which I find moving. There is something strong in our movement, in our shapes like a sensuality , very often unacknowledged. My first paintings represent women, such as them, most of them purple, thus revealing the passion that inhabits us, as if I did not accept mine. I was fascinated at the same time by all its modernist artists and at the origin of movements like abstract expressionism, I was finally freeing myself. I had to find how to link the two…”
It took her 15 years before she managed to mix the two, her figurative feminist inspirations with her passion for movement, frank, wild, all sprinkled with muted and raw colors.
