Magdalena Bak

Born in 1986 Magdalena, now lives and works in London. Growing up in a home filled with her parents crafts, she developed an interest in art and design at a young age.
She became intrigued and began drawing different characters, nature and interiors. After graduating with a degree in 3D Design her passion for art and design was much stronger. Her artwork is a live filtration. She processes images, emotions, situations and puts them on the canvas.
Using different materials Magdalena tries to express the natural world and wants to draw people in with questions of knowing more.
The art balance between minimalism and expressionism where emotions are shown with distinct strokes and contrast palette.
She tries to confront the reality to reflect on a presence and place in the past in the present. She paints using coloured plaster, acrylic and resin, using thick layers on raw linen. Works are expressions and emotions both planned and spontaneous to extract 3D effect.
