At the age of 18 I moved from Latvia to UK in order to develop as an artist. I have always felt the urge and passion for art, but in Latvia I did not have the opportunity to develop as an artist. By working hard and coping with life's challenges, I broke through to my dream of becoming an artist and sharing my ideas and feelings with the world. My work aims to delve into the innermost depths of the human experience, seeking to understand and communicate the complex and often intangible emotions that make us who we are. Using abstract figurative sculpture and paintings, I seek to capture the essence of these feeling, distilling them into powerful visual forms that speak to the viewer on a deep and instinctive level. The figures created by me convey genuine human emotions and connection with society and oneself. often the figures do not have a clearly expressed facial emotion but convey it through the abstract form of the body.
