Yuchen Liu

Yuchen Liu graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a master's degree in photography. Dedicated to the artistic creation of the multi-faceted practice including digital art, photography, moving images, and short film. Her work was primarily photographic until 2020 when she created digital artworks through self-developed technology, image synthesis, and generation. Her work is oriented toward the unknown, finding unseen beauty, and using unusual colors to evoke unconventional perceptual experiences. Facing a new era and new media, she treats computer art as an independent entity, just like oil painting and watercolor that have been around for many years, exploring and discovering the uniqueness, artistry, and potential that can be expressed by the continuous coupling of the human organism and computer inorganic matter. Her work is all about inspiring people to think about the role of digital technology iN their lives and the grafting of media on human-computer interaction. With years of experience working globally in photography, she now lives in Shanghai and New York as a photographer and freelance artist.
