Christopher McClure was born in Scotland but grew up in Dublin (IRL). He now lives and works in the Luberon in France..
His figurative imagery is drawn from his surroundings. He represents the effect of light on a landscape or object to explore lyrical rhythms of colour and form. These perhaps open metaphors and symbols of the interrelatedness of things and ideas.
Christopher McClure studied painting at Brighton College of Art & Design achieving a1st class Hons degree.
