Hi, my name is Dasha, I'm from Kiev but I live in France. I have finished 2 course of Beaux-Arts de Marseille. I have been painting as long as I remember, the main themes of my paintings are my feelings, experiences, emotions, mostly spontaneous emotions or thoughts, reactions to situations. I love the movement in a painting, I try to achieve it in different ways, I portray my feelings as people or mythical creatures that can change places and meanings, almost always these characters are hyperbolized and altered, they may appear bizarre, funny or sometimes a little frightening. The birds in my paintings are the only thing that doesn't change its internal message, it's always something good and stable, it's always a hope for the best, although I depict them in different ways. Each picture is a mini story that has a life of its own with its own characters, but sometimes they meet or mingle in other pictures.
I like to experiment with different techniques and paints, my favorite are watercolor and gouache, they are the materials with which you can convey a feeling or emotion while it is still alive and fresh. For me each work is an experiment that conveys a certain emotion to the viewer, and which resonates differently with everyone.
