My name is Patrick New. After living in Australia for 20 years, I have been based in Saarland again since the beginning of 2010.

A degree of Bachelor of Arts in Photography Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and my experiences as a photographic studio manager at Saatchi & Saatchi in Sydney created the conditions for working as a freelance photographer and photo artist with an international focus.

My photography represents a deep appreciation of nature in all its diversity. With a sure instinct I try to make the unique beauty of the chosen object visible. Unusual perspectives and motif details put natural elements and everyday objects in a new light. Their characteristics are skilfully emphasized by special recording techniques and post-processing. The joy of experimenting with colors and shapes in combination with expressive compositions creates images of different degrees of abstraction that captivate the viewer.
