Ira Tihonova

Ira Tihonova was born in 1968 in Murmansk.

She started her art education at Murmansk art school. Later she moved to Kiev, Ukraine and graduated from Kiev Polytechnic Institute, then two years later she entered the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Public University of Arts (Moscow).

Currently she works as a researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Irina illustrates poetry and prose. She used to work in art design of post cards and maps.

Irina works in various genres and art technique. She works with color very delicately as if she creates sensitive poetry. In her still natures she creates images as if they are under of endangered, similar to erasing images of frescoes. But her tramp card is a «graphic portrait", particularly woman portrait. She approach a woman as the main mystery of our world, and with her portraits she tries to reveal this mystery

His works are in private collections in Russia, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Turkey, and Ukraine
