Sarah Gainey

*In 2019, Sarah Gainey survived a near fatal accident that left her in a medically induced coma for a week. With no previous artistic training, she emerged from the hospital with an overwhelming compulsion to paint. Channeling her spiritual journey, trauma, and the search for peace through color and canvas, Sarah developed her own signature style — Spiritual Abstract Impressionism. Her work is born entirely from imagination and inner feeling, each piece a meditation on survival, spirituality and the beauty found in darkness. Painting, she says, helps her mute the extremely loud silence.*

*Working from her home studio in Elgin, South Carolina, Sarah has produced an extraordinary body of work spanning atmospheric forests, geometric abstracts, spiritual eye symbolism, botanicals, fluid abstracts, and mixed media pieces — all created within a single year of picking up a brush for the first time. Her collections include The Eye Series, The Sacred Grove Forest Series, The Feather Series and The Botanical Series among others.*
