Şükran was born in the village of Aktepe in the Pazar district of Rize. She completed her secondary education in Trabzon, completed her undergraduate education in 1997 and her graduate education in 2016.

Since 2001, she has been working as a Visual Arts Teacher at Trabzon Anatolian Fine Arts High School.

She is also currently serving as the president of the Femin & Art Women Artists Association, which she founded in 2007 and has representation in 30 countries and 10 has branches.

She took an active role in the efforts made to protect the rights of women and girls.

She brought together artists and the public with 25-30 artists from various countries each year at the 12 international art festivals she organized.

She was involved in the preparation of the curriculum for the "Three-Dimensional Art Education" course taught in Anatolian Fine Arts High Schools and contributed to the writing of these three books.

She is one of the authors of the books "Women in Ottoman Istanbul" and "Women in Republican Istanbul" published by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

In 1997, completed the Department of Painting at Karadeniz Technical University, and in 2016, completed master's degree in the Printmaking and Painting Main Art Branch at Giresun Faculty of Fine Arts.

The artist participated in 350 mixed painting exhibitions both nationally and internationally.

Şükran held 185 solo painting exhibitions in Trabzon, Brussels, Siberia, Eskişehir, Istanbul, and online.

In the field of caricature, the artist participated in 13 collective exhibitions and held two personal caricature exhibitions. She also took part in four collective photography exhibitions.
