Liana Kapelke-Dale

I love making beautiful things. I'm primarily a mixed-media artist, but do occasionally branch out into oil painting or drawing. I like to use bright colors and dried flowers, especially roses, in my work. I also enjoy working with the female form in different ways.

Other than that, I'm a poet who has published one full-length book (entitled Seeking the Pink - Kelsay Books) and two chapbooks. I made the paper collage that is now the front cover of Seeking the Pink.

I'm also a non-practicing attorney, an ATA (American Translators Association) Certified Translator (Spanish to English), amateur perfumer, and dog mom to a pointer/hound mix named Poet. I've lived in Paris and Lima, Peru in the past, but currently reside in my native city of Milwaukee.

I'm completely self-taught with regard to my visual art; however, I do hold a BA in Spanish as well as a JD.
