Anne Eßlinger

Anne Eßlinger draws her themes from critical observations of the social environment. What influence do the surrounding conditions have on the individual?
These observations always require special materials and thus new solutions. She is always happy to take on the challenges this presents. That is why the themes are also explored in different disciplines. In addition to drawings and paintings, she also creates installations and objects.
For her, artistic work means thinking in other dimensions. Associatively. This creates connections in unusual contexts that are often surprising even to her. This always results in new insights, new tasks, new perspectives that challenge previous findings.

New doors open, new challenges arise. Or, as Joan Didion put it: "I write (paint) to find out what I am, what I am looking at, what I see and what it means."

I studied fine arts and German at the University of Education and taught both subjects until 2001.
During my teaching career, I continued my education at various academies, such as Salzburg, Bad Reichenhall ...more. I have been working as a freelancer since 2001.
