It began many years ago—the moment I felt clay breathe quietly in my hands.
Since then, 27 years have passed, and I have walked this path with only earth, fire, and the sensitivity of my fingertips to guide me.
I have always asked myself what it truly means to be "Korean"—and how that meaning might take new shape in today’s world.
The traditional patterns in my work are not mere decorations; to me, they are memories, prayers, and living heritage.
Lotus blooms, drifting clouds, the rhythmic lines of dancheong—they return in my pieces, reinterpreted, reshaped, and reborn. Through them, I try to breathe new life into the word “tradition.”
For me, ceramics are vessels of time.
A lump of imperfect clay transforms slowly, through fire and hand, into a form that holds something more than its surface suggests. Within it are my memories, fragments of tradition, and quiet emotions—gathered and solidified in silence.
And I hope each piece begins a new story in the eyes and hearts of those who encounter it.
