Gosia Orzechowska

I'm a Canberra-based artist born in Poland. Painting is my passion. Doing something that I love, something that allows me to express myself and to explore my feelings makes me… happy.
My current work focuses on nature with a mixture of reality and imagination.
Painting provides a challenge which makes my life more pleasant, enjoyable and fascinating. The more I paint the more creative I become. It is like one opened door leads me to a thousand farther. Whenever the subject is representative or abstract it is intriguing to find that sweet spot of just the right blend of colours and other elements of the composition to complement each other, to create a compelling visual experience. It’s a process one learns as an artist all ones life.
I paint therefore I am.

My formal qualifications include five years of Fine Arts tertiary studies (Poland, 1989) as well as Advance Diploma in Graphic Design (Australia, 1998).
