Anything interesting that provides a new vehicle for exploring the possibilities with paint, can become a subject. I tend to work in series, developing ideas within the paintings as I go. I am particularly interested in the rhythm and heartbeat of a painting. I love contrasts and contradictions, which are sometimes amplified within my work.

I enjoy not knowing quite where a painting is headed, leaving room for experimentation and letting the paint 'have its head' - for me, this is where creativity resides.
