Girolamo Santulli
For me, art is transformation a journey through matter, color, and concept that gives life to works balancing instinct and reflection. My research moves between informal painting, sculpture, and installation, with a particular focus on layering and color transparency, elements that create depth and spaces for imagination.
I work in series, each developed around a conceptual idea, exploring the meaning of words such as Passages, Traces, and Boundaries. I am not interested in technique in an academic sense, but rather in surpassing it: each work results from a dialogue between chaos and the desire to give shape to an emotion.
My artistic production is strongly influenced by Informal Art, Expressionism, and the ideas of artists such as Duchamp, Beuys, Burri, and Fontana. My goal is not to represent reality but to offer the viewer a threshold an opening into an inner and imaginative dimension.
My works are part of public and private collections, and my exhibition journey includes shows in Italy and abroad, with solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries.
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope my works speak to you as they speak to me.
