Luana Aprile

Luana Aprile (b. 1986) is an Italian artist based in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Her passion for drawing and painting began in childhood and later led her to graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan in 2010. After her studies, she spent nearly a decade traveling the world, experiences that shaped both her perspective and her inner world.

Since 2018, Luana has made Maastricht her home, dedicating herself to painting and creative exploration. Working mainly with acrylic on canvas, she creates textured surfaces and layered hues that evoke dreamlike and emotional atmospheres. Her work often reflects the interplay between light and shadow, fragility and resilience, restlessness and harmony.

Beyond painting, she also explores photography and digital art, often blending portraiture with abstraction to merge reality and imagination. For Luana, art is both introspection and transformation, a way to translate emotions and inner landscapes into visual forms that invite reflection and connection.
