Viktoriia Severyn

I am a self-taught amateur artist. I have been painting for ten years. After a very short stint in watercolor, I was introduced to oil painting by making a few reproductions. I then began creating a series of personal figurative works. For several years I have been painting mainly in oils, creating landscapes and animal paintings. Like everyone, I am undoubtedly influenced by all the artists that have come into my view. I visit exhibitions and galleries from time to time, but most of my inspiration comes from a wide variety of artists whose work I can see online. Some inspire me more than others, and I am always trying to understand why. From this I derive some basic principles that guide my practice.
