Maryam Shafiq

I am a fashion student, a part time writer, an artist and art has always been in me. I got art in inheritance. I always painted but even after I joined fashion school there was a void in me. I could never discover my distinguished style. I could never find something that made me felt at home. Then one day, got an assignment to make a painting with embellishment. And making that one painting made me closer to myself. I knew right at that moment that this is my identity. This is my style. My paintings are a merge of my love for art, my love for writing and my love for fashion design. I make paintings of stories that I want to convey. Then, I decor them as if they are the most beautiful piece of clothing I'll ever make. And one last ingredient that I add in my paintings is Love. Love for the people around me who always feed me when I forgot to eat while working. Love for the people who are going to watch my art. Love for everyone who is looking for hope and enthusiasm.
