Lynette K. Henderson is an artist living in Los Angeles.
"Motivated by a fascination with the natural world, my artworks feature a range of wildlife subject matter such as African Painted Dogs, wolves, condors and cassowaries, and water creatures such as jellyfish, whales, and ducks; there are also backyard animals such as coyotes, opossums, and crows. I often select animals as painting challenges, delving into the intricate details of individual animals - examining anatomy, colors, textures, and patterns. Environmentally, I am interested in natural habitats as well as displacement and resilience of wildlife within urban settings."

A BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (1986), a MFA from the University of Minnesota (1989), and a Ph.d. in Art Education from Arizona State University (2006).
