I focus on the intensity and power of character in my art, trying to give the energy and heaviness of my subjects through the paintings.

My work is emotionally heavy, and tends to be quite intense - shaped this way by my own experiences and by the experiences of our "modern" world. Portraits, faces, expressions and interactions of my subjects with the audience on a personal level are among the themes that I have been exploring lately. I use traditional techniques coming from a strong educational background, but am also developing my own instinctive and contemporary approach to painting and art.
