Alan Brown

I have been painting for over 30 years in watercolours, oils and acrylics. I am essentially a landscape and urban artist – this is what inspires me most. My aim is to paint a loose interpretation of the scene in front of me in an attempt to capture mood and atmosphere, but without too much attention to detail. I like to leave something for the viewer to interpret and appreciate, and not to produce a photographic image.

I have exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London with the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, New English Art Club, Royal Society of Marine Artists. I have also exhibited with the Chelsea Art Society in London.
