Born: March 9, 1946, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. Spent childhood in the State of Washington. In 1957 family moved back to Massachusetts. After college he settled in France.In his youth, natural history was his predilection. Drawing was a "natural" talent. Worked as a taxidermist at age 15. Studied "country blues" guitar and worked in theater. Decided on art career on encountering the art world in college.
