Luis Casagrande

Born in Brazil and raised in the countryside, I’ve always had a deep connection with art. From a young age, I was naturally drawn to painting, but it wasn’t until I was 17 that I began to truly dedicate myself to this passion. Although I studied Veterinary Medicine, I soon realized that art was the calling I couldn’t ignore, and I chose to pursue it as my true path.

Currently, I live in the United States, where I continue to improve my skills, study English, and devote myself entirely to my art. I’m a father of two, and my life experiences—especially the stories I carry—have a profound influence on my work.

My primary inspiration comes from women and their expressions. However, I’m passionate about painting anything that embodies life, translating this energy into realistic portraits with a unique touch of blurs and drips, adding movement and fluidity to the canvas. The texture and fluidity with which I construct my works reflect a life paused, frozen in the moment of art, yet carrying a dynamism only painting can offer.
