Viktoria Grokholska

I am Viktoriia Grokholska, a contemporary artist and botanical illustrator exploring the emotional language of nature through watercolor and oil painting. My work focuses on flowers as living metaphors — fleeting, delicate, and deeply connected to human perception and inner states.
In my botanical watercolor practice, I approach each subject with precision and attentiveness, capturing the structure, rhythm, and subtle beauty of plants. These works reflect a dialogue between observation and sensitivity, where scientific clarity meets artistic interpretation.
In my oil paintings, particularly within the “Close Up” series, I magnify flowers beyond their natural scale, transforming them into immersive, almost abstract emotional spaces. By focusing on moments of bloom — brief yet intense — I explore themes of presence, transience, and the quiet experiences often lost in the pace of modern life.
Through both mediums, I invite the viewer to slow down and reconnect with overlooked moments of beauty, encouraging a deeper awareness of time, emotion, and the natural world.
