Nature, particularly the raw beauty of Iceland's landscapes — mountains, storms, snow, and fierce ocean waves — drives my art. Living here, I witness the delicate balance between nature's fragility and its overwhelming power. My work explores the connection between humanity and nature, blending figurative elements with landscapes to evoke compassion and reverence. I aim to remind viewers that the Earth is not merely a resource, but a living entity deserving of respect.
My style is realistic, with a focus on texture and detail, using oil paints to create depth and smooth transitions. Each piece begins with broad shapes and colors, gradually adding layers of detail to breathe life into the work. Through my art, I hope to inspire appreciation for the beauty and fragility of our planet, urging viewers to recognize the importance of protecting it.
