According to an Ancient Greek philosophy, in the general sense, a cosmos is an orderly or harmonious system. The Greeks combined the concept of "cosmos" two functions - sequencing and aesthetic. Plato in the dialogue "Timaeus," considers the cosmos as a living commensurate, which has a rational soul and human is a part of the cosmos. So, obviously, cosmos is a substance, which has an ethical and an esthetical value.
According to the teachings of the Stoics, cosmos is animate, intelligent, spherical, solid body located in the infinite void. And due to a specific of EÑo art, everything in the universe is a part of something indivisible.
