Heidi Khatami

I'm a Perisan-American Artist and a Real Estate Investor. My parents noticed at age two to three years old, I was constantly drawing. Although a very playful child, I was calm and extremely focused when I created art. At age five my parents decided I should have private art lessons by professional artists. From ages five to nine, I entered and won many children's art shows. During adolescent years, I was not sure what I wanted to do with my future. In those years I was just trying to survive severe abuse due to racism and was constantly assaulted and verbally abused because of my race. During this time my father passed away then a few months later my sweet, nurturing, loving mother was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer and had brutal treatments and eventually passed away. However, I did manage to create art in class and at the hospital while watching my sweet, beautiful, angelic mother suffer to death. I had no time to think about my future & had absolutely no other emotional support from any family! I was completely on my own at such a young age.
