SuYeon is a contemporary abstract artist born in Korea and now rooted in Sweden.
Her works are held by private collectors in Sweden, Korea, Germany, and Denmark, and her mural created for Västlänken, Sweden’s largest art project, now resides within the landscape of Gothenburg.
Her paintings grow from the beauty of Swedish spaces and nature.
The warmth of light, the breath of the seasons, and the colors and forms of the plants she loves unfold quietly across her canvases.
She studied fine art and design in high school, followed by visual communication design in university. Now, as a self-taught artist, she shapes her own language by bending forms, layering colors, and weaving diverse textures.
There are always subtle, flowing rhythms in her studio.
Music adds rhythm to her hands and, at times, shifts the hues of her work.
B.A. in Visual Communication Design, Changwon National University, South Korea
