Jun Baek

Jun Baek ( b 2003 ) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. He earned his BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Baek’s work explores the complexities of identity and the importance of individuality. As a Korean Canadian immigrant navigating new cultural landscapes and a young artist stepping into the professional art world, Baek sees himself as an ever-evolving subject. Baek resists rigid categorization, believing that labels can limit both artistic and personal growth. Embracing boundless potential, he works across a diverse range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, sound, performance and beyond. By exploring the intersections between various disciplines, Baek creates multifaceted expressions that transcend singular definitions, envisioning a constant state of becoming.
