Seonyoung Park

Rooted in the quiet philosophies of East Asia, I create artworks that reflect a longing for inner peace and emotional grounding. My journey as an artist began from a place of restlessness—a search for balance in an overwhelming world. Over time, I turned to the ancient traditions of East Asian painting, learning to grind my own ink and to paint with pigments derived from nature.

In my studio, silence is not empty — it is full of presence. I work surrounded by calming scents and gentle sounds, aligning my senses with each brushstroke. The process itself is a ritual: an intimate harmony between body, breath, and canvas.

Through each piece, I hope to pass on the serenity and quiet energy that I have found. My work is not just for myself — it is for those who pause in front of it. I want my art to be like a breath: a moment of stillness, a soft reminder that beauty can be found in stillness and simplicity.

May each painting bring to its viewer the same sense of calm and vitality that it brings to me.
