Denis Gorbatov

I am a contemporary abstract artist, and my work is driven by a fascination with the emotional and expressive potential of color, form, and texture. For me, abstraction is a language—a way to communicate what cannot be easily put into words. Through layered compositions, bold gestures, and intuitive experimentation, I explore the balance between chaos and harmony, movement and stillness.

Each piece I create is meant to be an open space for interpretation, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions and experiences. My process is rooted in curiosity: I allow materials and impulses to guide me, often discovering meaning only as the work unfolds.

Over time, my art has evolved into an ongoing exploration of perception, emotion, and the unseen connections between them. My goal is to create work that not only engages visually but also resonates deeply—sparking reflection, curiosity, and dialogue.

My work is shaped by the questions that haunted me there: the struggle between the individual and the crowd, the weight of faith, the pull between creation and destruction. I see every canvas as a battlefield of the soul, where color becomes prayer and form becomes resistance.
