I was born in Berlin, Germany, and spent time in the corporate world before fully committing to my artistic path. I laid the groundwork for this transition in Luxembourg in 1992, when I joined the Conservatory of Music and, shortly after, the École d’Art Contemporain.
I studied Fine Art in Luxembourg at the École d’Art Contemporain with Jean-Marc Tosello, and later in New York City at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Design, where I studied with Susan Shatter, Sharon Sprung, Henry Finkelstein, and Wolf Kahn. These experiences shaped my ongoing exploration of expressive color and light.
My work is rooted in an intuitive process, with a focus on color as both structure and emotional language. Over time, this exploration has led me across different painting media, which I experience as distinct creative universes. Today, I work primarily in acrylic, engaging its immediacy and versatility as a dynamic field for color.
Since 2021, I have been studying with Ronnie Landfield at the Art Students League of New York, continuing to deepen my approach to scale, composition, and painterly presence.
