Laura Marks

I am a London-based abstract artist with a background in fashion and graphic design. My artistic style is characterized by an intuitive approach that focuses on capturing emotion and conveying energy through vibrant colours, bold marks and texture. My pieces often feature layered elements and texture that create depth and excitement. To me, art is a visceral form of expression that allows me to explore the human experience in its ever changing nature. I aim to create works that convey optimistic energy, hope and zest through the interplay of colours, abstraction and simplicity. Artists that I admire and inspire me include John Chamberlain, Dan Flavin, James Turrell, Richard Serra, Lee Krasner, Joan Mitchell, Egon Schiele, Franz Kline and Willem de Kooning.
